I note the work being done by Kei Kyu in the Nissan Magnite with awe and with that being said this is the 3rd day I’ve hanging out with the bold and the beautiful top of the range Nissan Magnite.1.0T Acenta plus Manual transmission .The name “Magnite” is a portmanteau of the words “magnetic”and “ignite”.The Nissan Magnite was manufactured in Chennai India ,it uses the same platform as the Renault Kiger. If pay less for more was a car it would be this one.
They say looking good is all about feeling good. If that’s true, the Magnite is certainly one good-looking compact SUV...inside and out. With boldly designed exterior featuring a large grille, LED L-shaped daytime running lights are distinctive, thin LED headlights too. The design is eye-catching especially in a two-tone colour combination with a black roof, The side profile is quite suave with pronounced haunches, plastic cladding and just the right amount of chrome and the 16-inch alloy wheels looks so good on it cannot be overlooked, kudos to the designers.

Inside, the Magnite you get great features such as wireless charging
pad, centre armrest which has a pair of AC vents at the back for back passengers, enough
legroom for passengers and the driver, interior is adorned with leather steering
wheel and gear-lever, a mixture of cloth and leather on seats. It also supports
Apple Car play which make life easier and includes the JBL speakers (which sound
average at best)
The seatbelt warning beep is a good feature for safety reasons, as it cuts off the
audio from coming through the speakers and forces the driver and front passenger
to buckle up if they want to continue listening to the audio.

In some cars, you can drive for more than 20 minutes without car keys as they are
keyless push to start entry but with the Magnite if it doesn’t detect the key it won’t
start. Regarding the locking and unlocking I dislike that you must unlock manually
but I like that immediately the car moves it locks the door and does not wait to
reach certain speed which is great.

Underneath, the compact SUV is powered by a 1.0 litre turbo petrol engine producing 74kW/160Nm of torque connected to a five-speed manual transmission to deliver power smoothly to the front wheels. It is also offered in CVT option for those who doesn’t like to take control. Ride and handling quality is pretty good and when you shift gears, the five-speed manual feels slick, although the gate isn’t very wide, so it takes some time to get accustomed to it. It’s frugal too; you can eke out around 5.9L per 100kms driving sensibly and fuel efficient.
Feels comfortable and handles itself well in the city and on the highway.
I must commend Nissan when it comes to safety, as standard, all ranges boasts anti-lock Braking System (ABS), hill assist, cruise control, rear-view camera,2 airbags, tyre pressure sensor, park distance control, traction, and stability control as well as Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and was awarded a four-star safety rating ASEAN NCAP. This safety features offered are quite good.
A decent boot space, 336-litres or 690-litres with the seats folded down, making it adequate for near and far trips if luggage space isn’t a priority for you.
This is a perfect car and has all the must have for the millennials or as a family car and can be used daily. It is one of the most affordable SUV in its segment and just in the beginning of this month India received and was celebrating 1 000 000 bookings on the Nissan Magnite.
